... and so it begins. Have spent some time this evening learning how to set up a blog so as to track my pre-walk planning and progress. Mission accomplished - I now have a blog.
Headfirst_Feetfollow captures my current thinking and theme for the months ahead. Very exciting to have the foundation plan established and posted out to those who are interested in what Te Araroa is about and tracking my progress once I commence on the 21st October. Looking forward to your comments and questions - I know I have had many of my own along the way, and still working through the answers..........

Hi Maree, glad Julian passed this on to you. Thanks for support and interest in the walk. The trail does not go through Hawkes Bay - after the Tongariro Crossing it goes via Whanganui, Bulls, Fielding, Palmerston North then onto the Tararuas. Yes am sure Mum will be keeping close watch. Sophia xx
